It’s a good experience to learn about a new life in retirement.

Hubby’s farm is one of the best for retirement life, which I am very enjoying and experiencing. This experience is both bad and good.

In a good way, I love animals around the house, and you are self-sustaining, such as with eggs, meat birds chicken, and garden products. Besides, sometimes we have a lot of eggs and put them outside for sale as well. It’s very fun.

In a bad way:

Minks: Minks are vicious predators of chickens and other birds. They are known for their propensity to kill every chicken and bird in an area or pen. However, minks do not eat every chicken they prey on. They only want to drink the blood of their prey, and this is their motivation for killing every bird they can find. Our neighbor lost almost everything. We lost one.

Eagle: We always keep an eye out during the day so the eagle does not attack our chicken. A couple of times they were very close, and almost caught them, but I was very close, and the eagle released the chicken. So far, we have been very lucky not to lose to the Eagles.

Humans: Sometimes we have extra non-GMO eggs and put them outside for sale, but sometimes they are taken by humans and not paid for.

By the way, it’s a good experience to learn a new life in retirement.
